Why I love sports!

Joba and Harlan Chamberlain after Yankee World Series WinReading this story almost brings me to tears.  It doesn’t matter if you’re a 9 year old on the soccer field, an 18 year old on your high school relay team or a 24 year old MLB NY Yankee pitcher.  When you play your heart out for a championship, you compete to win!  But when you win, there’s really no word to describe the euphoria.  Especially if you can celebrate that win with family, friends and teammates you are closest to.

I love to read about athletes who really got to where they are primarily because of their hard work and passion despite all the roadblocks.  I’m not the biggest Yankee fan but I am extremely happy for Joba Chamberlain and his father Harlan.

It doesn’t matter what sport you play, how old you are, at what level you play or in what country you live.  Sports brings people together and victories are SWEET!

Do you remember celebrating your first victory?
