Rocky – This classic was made in 1976 and it’s iconic because more people than not when they think of a boxing movie, they think of this movie or one of it’s 4 sequels. This first Rocky movie was award winning – it actually won 3 Oscars. No, not for Sylvester Stallone‘s acting (although he was nominated for Best Actor). It won Best Director, Best Film Editing and Best Picture by the Academy in 1977.
