Men’s Professional Soccer: San Diego Flash

Perhaps you have never heard of the professional soccer team: The San Diego Flash. Well, maybe you haven’t heard of them because gorgeous San Diego, California, doesn’t currently have a men’s professional soccer team in Major League Soccer. Soon however, they just might!

“Welcome Soccer Fans”, is the tag line that beckons future owners of the newest kids on the block, the San Diego Flash Owners, yes, I said, “OWNERS”.

There is a huge wind of change, that I hope sweeps the country. The wind of soccer baby!  As wonderful as the Super Bowl was replete without any halftime wardrobe malfunctions for football fans, I want some crazy soccer fans, like they have in Europe, and South America, to get to enjoy soccer – like it’s the World Cup, here in the States. We love soccer here too right???!

Yeah, we do!!

Today, I spoke to, Mr. Clenton A. Alexander – CEO and General Partner of San Diego Soccer Partners. I was excited to hear about their new concept. They are looking for Passionate Soccer Fans who want to see the continuing growth of the sport in the U.S. In return you have the ability to become a partial owner.

“Imagine what your investment could be worth for your family in the next few years when The San Diego Flash Soccer Club grows to be as popular as the San Diego Padres and the San Diego Chargers…. and for years after that, like The Green Bay Packers”, touts the SD Flash website.

I know I am definitely going to have my kittens pick up a few shares. I believe in and support the growth of American soccer. The starting price to become an owner you ask? Shares are being offered at $1.00 … Yup, that’s right totally awesome!

However, I haven’t told you the coolest part yet. The team is also holding tryouts during their 1st Annual Charity / Exhibition Season. The process of the tryouts is being filmed, and turned into a reality show. A reality show about what is takes to make it in the major leagues of soccer. I can’t wait to see the drills, the skills, and who has what it takes.

Oh, I am so watching that show! American…Soccer…Men? Are you kidding me? That only means one thing. Holy HOTNESS with a soccer ball. (My hubbie didn’t like that line so much!)

By the way, I’m an Earthquakes fan- For LIFE. In this case though… I might have to say, the San Diego Flash, are kind of tugging at my heartstrings.
