Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade is taking a page out of the Michael Jordan handbook. Dwyane is launching a fantasy basketball camp where you can participate in drills with him and also play him one-on-one. Michael Jordan had a similar camp for years and he has temporarily put the camp, the Michael Jordan Senior Flight School on hold so he can focus on managing the Charlotte Bobcats.
Dwyane tapped his cousin, Antoine and the owner of CBF Sports Management, Benny Fragela to help him put the weekend event together. The camp is slated for August 18- 21 at the Fontainebleau Hotel in South Beach where Dwyane said the hotel’s ballroom will be converted into basketball courts.
“Campers” must be a minimum of 35 years old and it costs $12,500. Yikes! Upon arrival, campers wil receive a special jersey along with Nike sweats, shorts and personalized shoes.
So far, 15 people have registered for the unique experience – the goal is to have 100 people attend. Dwyane’s T-Mobile commercial partner in crime, Charles Barkley will be at the camp along with current Heat coach Erik Spolestra and Dwyane’s coach from Marquette, Buzz Williams.
If you have an extra $12,500 laying around, you can sign up for the camp here.
