See More of Oscar Pistorious at the Paralympic Games

Phote: Facebook

Well the world fell in love with Oscar Pistorious – I know I did – because he was such a fierce competitor who fought to participate with ‘able-bodied’ athletes (first time this was ever permitted) at the 2012 London Summer Olympic Games.  He is courageous, strong, and quite fast.  He is also a gentle, gracious soul. He participated in the men’s 400m and 4x400m track relay for South Africa.    They call him ‘Bladerunner’ because of his carbon fiber leg prosthesis he races in.  He will likely blow away his competition at the 2012 London Paralympic Games that start August 29.

There are many who can say they competed in back to back summer Olympic games but nobody has ever been able to say they participated in the Olympic and Paralympic Games in the same year. Congratulations to you Oscar for inspiring all of us by just being you!

Check out this video promoting the Paralympic Games. Set a reminder and support these athletes. They train and work just as hard as our other Olympians.
